Zainab Bibi

Zainab Bibi - Khan ((زینب بی بی - خان) is a Women Director of Canadian Pakistani Pashtun Community Association, CPPCA, belongs to the District Malakand of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Currently residing in the City of Toronto, Canada. 

 

She is pursuing her career as a Law Clerk in Canada, while a renowned human rights and peace activist having a rich experience of Community & Social Development. During her professional career she has served various national and international organizations as well as worked as a freelancer for notorious organizations. She was formerly the Ex - Commission Member of the "Child Protection and Welfare Commission" Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Pakistan and served voluntarily for the term of three consecutive years.

 

Furthermore, she is an Alumina of a flagship program "International Visitors Leadership Program", IVLP of The United States of America and a Certified Human Rights Alumina of Equitas, Canada. Besides, she was an active volunteer member of Regional Forum for Peace and Development (Pakistan & Afghanistan) and South Asian Peace Alliance Network (SAPA). She represented Pashtuns women on international forums, in the entire south Asian region including Europe and North America. She actively advocates for the rights of Pashtun's vulnerable communities’ (women/men/youth) and mobilizes the masses by educating them around the themes of Gender Mainstreaming, Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance, Peace, and Non-Violent Conflict Resolution. She worked meaningfuly with the key stakeholders at grass root community level, with government officials, and engaged with parliamentarians for pro-poor policies legislations.
